Learn Carpentry fundamentals in an intensive 2-day course

£290 for 2 days, including all materials

In our Carpentry & Woodworking Course you will learn:

• Tools Basics: Which tools you need & how to use them
• Materials basics: Which wood for which project
• Fixings basics: Nails and Screw types and uses, when to use raw plugs. 
• Essential skills: Sawing, hammering, drilling & sanding
• Skirting board/Dado rail – how to fit it successfully and go round corners, cutting the correct angles.
• Begininers Chiselling for cutting in hinges & Woodworking joints
• Beginners Planing for furniture making and door hanging

This course aims to equip participants with practical woodworking skills that they can apply in their own homes to tackle common carpentry tasks effectively and confidently. It’s hands-on, allowing you to practise the skills under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

We will send you a questionnaire on booking and where possible, will try and tailor the course to your needs, but how much we can cover in the two days is always dependant on how quickly the group pick skills up.

Courses run from 9am – 4.30pm with a break for lunch and two coffee breaks. This may not seem like a long time, but trust us, you’ll be shattered!

Courses will run in groups of 3-6 people. In the event that not enough people book on to a particular date, we may have to rearrange courses. We will let you know as soon as possible if this is the case.

Booking details:

Booking options: The course price is £290. You may book with a £60 deposit or pay in full.

If you don’t pay the full price on booking, the balance will be invoiced for payment at least 7 days before the course commences.

Please contact us if you need to cancel or reschedule. The deposit option is non-refundable but your deposit can be transferred to a different date. If you pay the full price upfront, this is refundable up to 2 weeks before the course date, but we do require 2 weeks notice of cancellations.  Bookings made within 2 weeks of the course date are non-refundable.
